AN INSIGHT INTO UMPIRING
Dalyellup Dockers Football Club are always keen to welcome new Umpires - both adults and teenagers are encouraged to apply. To umpire you must be in year 8 or above and be willing to give umpiring a go while having fun. Umpiring gives you great life experiences and life skills and is also a paid role. As an Umpire you will learn people management skills, quick decision-making techniques, job professionalism, communication skills, organisation skills, and leadership skills.
Our Umpires are a valued part of the DDFC community. It is part of our club focus to create a positive experience for our Umpires. We know that an Umpire won’t get every decision right, and that is okay and all part of learning. It is expected that Umpires will be encouraged and respected at all times, both on and off the field. Umpire disrespect can result in sanctions and removal of privileges for those involved, and is taken seriously at club level and by the SWJFL.
We need your help to keep the game of AFL a great one, so sign up today and learn more about umpiring football!
